Engine

[edit]

Master Deusoma, Macaddct1984, Which is it? The Halo engine or the Halo 2 engine? How about a footnote reference in the sidebar... Ben 18:05, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It's Halo 1, the Halo 2 engine hasn't been ported to PC and especially not the Mac, whereas Halo 1 has been released for all three systems, there's no way it's Halo 2.
  • "the game was using a heavily modified version of the Halo engine."[1]
  • "Alex Seropian: We're making some obvious decisions and there will be some surprises, definitely. We're using the Halo engine." [2]
  • "Using the Halo engine, the game, which is rated M for Mature, has a SRP of $49.99." [3]
Enough? -- MacAddct1984 19:15, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Perfect. Thank you very much. Ben 19:34, 21 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
It would seem I was mistaken. I was mislead by this specific page before I did enough research: [4]. It won't happen again. Master Deusoma (talk)
No problemo, I'm really surprised they got that wrong... -- MacAddct1984 17:47, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Wideload

[edit]

Anyone mind my addition of the Wideload section? I thought it was important to list what Wideload hopes will be the greater historical signifigance of this game- proving that smaller companies can make and produce a game (using cost-efficient means) that is still competitive in the market. If no one minds, formatting and adding links would be appreciated. [user gspawn = account problems]

I think it would probably be more appropriate in the Wideload Games entry -- MacAddct1984 07:07, 20 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Levels

[edit]

This article seems a little short, do you think someone should add a levels paragraph showing what happens in the course of the game? (Like the one in the Half Life/Half Life 2 article). I would do it myself but I have only played the demo and am only getting the game in July. - 194.60.85.4

Such things would belong in WikiStrategy. Lots42 (talk) 03:02, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anatomy of an icon

[edit]

Is it just me, or does the game's icon look a lot like Saul Bass' poster art for Anatomy of a Murder? - Stormwatch 06:53, 13 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, It does.

Talking sheep easter egg

[edit]

In the farm level, You can let the sheep out of their pen. After you let them out, One will run into the woods near a shack, And you'll find a guy chasing it, Saying weird things to it. If you kill him, The sheep will say "From this day forward, Zombies and sheep will be friends!" There may be more to this easter egg. (Listen to the designer commentary for more info)

the level of unprofessionalism in these articles really makes me doubt wikipedia will ever be anything more than a novelty —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.211.252.57 (talk) 07:48, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plot section is a huge spoiler

[edit]

I just bought the game and instead of a breif intro i get blam the whole story, kinda ruined the ending... blech. anyway anyone who knows how could you please put a spoiler tag in it or clean it up? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Olmsfam (talkcontribs) 01:22, 31 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Steam issues

[edit]

So far the only source provided is to a forum, it seems to be citing post(s) by complete strangers, which seems to be speculation on their part anyway (they are basically self published sources, anyone can post what they want on a forum). These people are not recognised authorities on the subject. This is not acceptable as a source. I have tried searching for a reliably published source, or even a primary source (i.e even a forum post by a developer will suffice, if there's nothing else), to no avail. I can only find forum posts, which are just as unreliable. Without some kind of usable sources - this information has no place here, true or not. This is an encyclopaedia - not a user guide.
