Good job so far. You said you were still working on getting your sources and pictures up, so I'm assuming that you're probably already planning on putting up some pictures of the art in the baths. Or if you aren't, that would be a good idea. Also, maybe you could include some information about baths in general, such as maybe the type of people who used them, how the different facilities in the baths worked, and the general process of going to the baths (ie what order people went to the different rooms in, etc). I know that information maybe isn't specifically only about the Pompeian baths, but I feel like it would still help give a good context for the article. I really enjoyed the part about the erotic art where you mentioned how the people used the art to identify their lockers. This article is looking good so far, and I know it will be even better once you get some pictures in there! Good job! --megan gier02:50, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I know that you're still working on posting some finishing details on your article, so I'm sure that that content will change over the next week. I just have a few suggestions. Wikipedia asks that you make links to dates, such as 79 AD, so that people can click on the dates to see other things that happened during the year/time period. You could link 79AD and the 1900's date that the site was excavated. Some of the parenthetical sentences throughout the article distract from the information, so maybe you could find a way to incorporate their information within the article without using parentheses. If there are Wikipedia articles about them, I would create links to the Latin terms, like apodyterium for example. Finally, make sure that you make the first mention of the words Suburban Baths bold, like the format of other Wikipedia articles. Other than that, I think your article is fine once you get pictures and references up!

It looks like you're still working on the article. But somethings to make it better would be to add photos of the artwork mentioned or of the bathhouse in general. How Roman baths in general worked. And linking terms in your article to other articles would make continued research for anyone reading it alot easier. Good job so far though. -Zach McMahon
I made some edits a few days ago where I added some additional information to the page, as well as added hyperlinks, references, and more entries to the bibliography. All of my changes were reverted within half an hour with the reason being that they were not needed. One of these edits was that I added a reference where the 'citation needed' note was showing, and this was then reversed back to saying 'citation needed'. I was just wondering whether someone might be able to give me more guidance on why my edits may have been unnecessary, or whether some of them were acceptable and others were not needed, as I am still quite new to editing Wikipedia and am hoping to improve my editing so this doesn't happen again. Thanks!! Sethevb (talk) 12:45, 28 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I've taken a look at edits made by Sethevb - all enhanced the page, not least adding citations where citations were needed. I'm not sure why DartsLilly reverted these so I have reinstated. HTH Lysimache (talk)
