Moving aboutDOTcom citation here

…as an unacceptable encyclopedic reference. Le Prof Leprof 7272 (talk) 07:32, 28 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Here it is, with leading "<" removed:
  • ref name="DefinitionOfSurvivalRate">"About.com: Definition of Survival Rate". Retrieved 2013-11-25.</ref>

Dubious content

[edit]

The complete lack of citations (disallowing content verification), alongside the casual tone, the limited scope (subspecialties of oncology), the skipping-stone nature of the coverage of the topics, etc., lead to a conclusion that the existing content is not encyclopedic. Given these observations and the original aboutDOTcom sole-sourcing, the article is viewed by this informed editor as untrustworthy apart from expert attention. Two ways of looking at it

[edit]

Wording (and article name) could clarify : It (eg overall survival) is a [survival] curve. You can either say what % survive for a specified period (eg one, 2 or 5 years), or say how long a specified % (eg 50% for median) survive for. - Rod57 (talk) 18:45, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
