growth rate

[edit]

1,900 to over 21,000 in 55 years is an astonishing growth rate. Could someone double check that please? ϢereSpielChequers 20:39, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

318,000+ (2017, Old Order Amish)

[edit]
21,195 in 2015.

As of 2011 the two affiliations of the Swiss Amish had together 152 of the 1,913 Amish church districts, accounting for about seven to eight percent of all Amish? 2001:7C0:2041:1AA:0:0:0:DB (talk) 11:00, 16 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of Swiss flag graphic

[edit]

Hello all- There is a user repeatedly adding a graphic of the Swiss flag to the top right of this article, with the caption The Amish come from Switzerland. This despite the text of the article stating that the Amish came from Switzerland, Germany, France, and Alsace (now part of France). I have removed the graphic and attempted to bring the contradiction to the attention of the user, but my edits have been reverted, and met with indignant edit summaries rather than with collaborative discussion. See article history, posts on user's talkpage. I thought it might help to bring this matter to the attention of other editors interested in this article. Eric talk 15:36, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
