[edit]As to whether the two pages should be merged - yes. The definition could be strengthened, as it begs the question of why democracy evolved in the Greek context but not in other places where such centralization is known to have occurred.
A second yes (the previous is unsigned but it is not me). the material is the same; one word is the transliterated Greek, the other is the Latinized form. Same word, same concept, same material.Dave (talk) 16:02, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
I also agree to the merging, but I suggest that the Latinized form of the word be used, since it is still in widespread usage, whereas the Greek is not. Chillowack (talk) 17:44, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
