Not banned

[edit]

Typical revisionist bullshit. Tamo daleko was never banned. Ethnic folk songs were explicitly *encouraged* in the SFRY. 2620:15C:6:16:69A2:2EF5:5512:8381 (talk) 19:07, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

not serbian song

[edit]

this is a traditional croatian folk song that was adopted and revised to suit serbian expansonist ideology! here are the original lyrics: Tamo daleko, daleko kraj mora, tamo je selo moje, tamo je ljubav moja. Hajdemo, dušo, da sretno živimo mi, jer mladost prolazi žurno i taj život nesretni. Tamo daleko, gdje cvijeću nema kraj, tamo je selo moje, tamo je vječiti raj. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.112.92.130 (talk) 18:43, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The croatian Hymn is a serbian song, but people still count it for original croatian (being a hymn). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.33.19.46 (talk) 23:06, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've never seen one shred of evidence that this was originally a Croatian song. Even Croatian "Wikipedija" lists it as a Serbian song. If you have some viable reference for this claim, please provide it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.187.155.2 (talk) 00:07, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Original Version" not the original

[edit]

The song you have listed as the "original" isn't the original as it starts with the lyrics "Zar je morala doc" which is a different song composed around the same time. Today the two songs are usually sung together as one, alternating verses from each. But the two have different melodies and lyrics. I believe the 2nd version you have listed may be the original, but I'll have to check my sources, anyway it's certainly older than the one listed now as original. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.187.155.2 (talk) 00:10, 20 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
