" However it is mainly used by and was origninated in Pakistan."
[edit]So Tandoor Masala is only about half a century old? Also to the O.P., if your going to spread half-truths, do it with some proper spelling: not "origninated", but "originated." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.189.111.66 (talk) 20:07, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
- Asides from the grammar, this is an interesting point of which country - India or Pakistan - should tandoori masala be attributed to as Kundan Lal Gujral invented the tandoori chicken cooking style and corresponding tandoori masala in Peshawar (which is in modern-day Pakistan but was still a part of India in the 1920s), but the global fame arose via his restaurant in Delhi. Globally recipes using tandoori masala such as butter chicken are more prominently related back to Indian cuisine; however, given various regional and historical influences, perhaps tandoori masala can be more broadly attributed to South Asia as well and not just India. Just some food for thought as we try to muddle through the colonial vestiges of division. That Indian-American Girl (talk) 13:03, 31 May 2021 (UTC) That Indian-American Girl
