Izid's headpiece not a halo?

[edit]

Looking at the image of "Aradashir's coronation" with the conquered king being stamped on and the priest or god being depicted on the left - the prose describes the priest as having a halo. This appears to be an interpretation rather than a description of the image - I see a wide Aztec style headpiece (similar to a stereotypical Native American chieftains feather headpiece) made from fabric which is bunched together (like hair in a pony tail) at the bottom just below the shoulder. All 3 figures have this wide fabric piece like a wide ribbon, the ribbon is clearer in other depictions from this period. To assess that the headpiece is a halo is a big step and needs some support and close analysis. Are there better images or other depictions that clearly show the Izid with a "halo" or what might be interpreted as such?

For what it's worth I think the article should read "headpiece"; you can't put bunches in a halo. 78.148.43.119 (talk) 16:33, 30 July 2009 (UTC) user:pbhj[reply]

Taq BostanTaq-e Bostan – This article was without form of discussion moved back in 2014 [1]. The name as of this moment doesn't make sense as its simply an incorrect transliteration. The majority of articles in other languages has the spelling 'Taq-e Bostan' for a pretty good reason. Academic sources such as Iranica uses this spelling as well (here, for example). --HistoryofIran (talk) 23:47, 25 January 2019 (UTC) --Relisting. KCVelaga (talk) 06:50, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
