translator comments

[edit]

I am doing some preliminary cleanup but I need to look at some things to remember exactly how we are translating mise en examen and such. Left some HTML comments in the text. I will remove these when I answer the questions they ask, or feel free to resolve them for me if you like. It's important to remember that the roles of the prosecutor and judge are different in the French legal system but I think "indicted" is probably a good enough translation to leave for now. I don't have time to go to sources today but I will, and will also link to the articles on French law I translated a while back. I am however baffled as to a police agency can be seized. I suspect a search warrant was served, but I will get back too y'all on this....Elinruby (talk) 02:21, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Hello, if there is no opposition, I'd like to merge the The Théo Affair article into 2017 French riots, rather than the other way around. The reason for this is because the riots had much more coverage than the original affair and there was another riot after an affair involving a Chinese person who was killed, which could be referred to in that article too. In addition, it would align with similar articles such as the 2005 French riots, 2007 French riots, 2009 French riots, etc. Kamalthebest (talk) 22:30, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
