Gumball is ending
[edit]I'm putting an end to this once and for all: Gumball is ending after Season 6.
When Ben Bocquelet stated "not necessarily the end of The Amazing World Of Gumball" on Twitter, he means that it's not the end of the Gumball franchise. While the show is ending, the franchise would still live on in the form of books, comics, toys, etc."
And if you need more proof that the show is ending, many, many members of the crew have announced on various social media platforms about how they've finished all their work on the show: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/196367074245738496/430883429253644288/TheEnd.png — Preceding unsigned comment added by Oondur (talk • contribs) 23:25, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
- We need reliable sources. EvergreenFir (talk) 04:45, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- The screenshot is reliable enough. It shows that the creators are finishing up with the show. Minty fresh like mmmm (talk) 20:09, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- How do you explain the bottom right corner of that screenshot then? Also, please read WP:IRS EvergreenFir (talk) 20:19, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
- I'll try to clear it up a little bit more, in addition to linking the original sources in that screenshot:

- In addition to that, three other crewmembers have announced on how they've finished all their work on the show:
- Guillaume Cassuto (writer for the show) announcing his departure on Twitter: https://twitter.com/gcassuto/status/923600977265119232

- The next part: The sources cited. iTechPost is most likely unreliable/clickbait. The article in question (http://www.itechpost.com/articles/37923/20161008/the-amazing-world-of-gumball-creator-leaves-the-show-cartoon-network-to-continue-the-show-without-him.htm) appears to be poorly written and has plenty of grammatical errors, from what I've noticed:
- ". We respect people move on from projects but we have a great and talented team behind the show.
- A fan replied to his tweet asking if the series was canceled by CN or if it was just his decision and Bocquelet replied with "No it's my decision"
- ...his decision to end "Amazing World of Gumball" (The source forgot to add "The" in the title.)
- The animated series first aired in 2011 where the story centers around the middle school adventures of a 12-year-old cat named Gumball Watterson in Elmore city.
- Some other stuff to mention:
- On the screenshot which was originally linked, one of the images contains an email from Manu Javelle, a prop designer for the show. He clearly states that Gumball ends at the end of Season 6. If you need his website, it can be accessed here: https://manujavelle.myportfolio.com/work
- If you need anything else, just let me know. Shoopdahoop22 (talk) 21:23, 15 April 2018 (UTC)
Source for 44 episodes claim

Any future-looking claim, like “the season will have 44 episodes,” always strikes me as absolutely needing citation. I looked, and I found a tweet from the show’s creator, but an automated filter prevented me from quoting the tweet in full because it ends with an emoji. Could someone remedy that, or find a better source? Here’s the full quote:
Yeah we're doing 44 this season. Making up for our failures of season one. The shame 😖

- @Kuyabribri: Thanks. I think the protection level (i.e., none) is the same as when I first anonymously added the ref (or else I wouldn’t have been able to), but the automated filter that prevented me from doing so didn’t complain just now. —67.14.236.50 (talk) 23:56, 25 May 2018 (UTC)

About the future of the show.
[edit]There isn’t a official confirmation from Cartoon Network that the series is ending, and the show could continue without the creator. The producers have also been pretty silent recently, and the show’s editor, Richard Overall has said on Twitter that it’s the finale for Season 6. That doesn’t confirm a seventh season or a movie, but until then, please do not add any references to this being the final season (akin to Steven Universe, which it’s respective producers have also been silent about). I want to make the episodes be centered more to the left (like the other TAWOG season pages) and shorten the plot summary of one of the episodes. 24.44.76.88 (talk) 15:14, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- The specific episode I want to shorten the plot summary is The Anybody.--24.44.76.88 (talk) 15:23, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
- Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:31, 23 July 2021 (UTC)
