Is this really a video podcast or can I remove it from the category? The page doesn't mention the format and I would think it needs at least one reliable secondary source describing it as a video podcast. TipsyElephant (talk) 12:46, 19 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Broccoli and Coffee: I'm starting to think that Category:Video podcasts should be merged into Category:Video blogs. I haven't looked into it thuroughly but vlog and video blog seem to be used significantly more often than vodcast, vidcast, and video podcast. The few times that video podcast gets used it appears to be synonmous with vlog. Video podcast seems to just be a neologism that didn't become commonplace, whereas vlog still seems to be used. TipsyElephant, Yeah, I mostly agree. In the early days of podcasting, before YouTube, video podcasts were definitely a thing. But now it's an outdated term or usually only applies to the filming of a podcast recording (similar to watching a radio show live). I haven't looked into it much, but I don't think I'd have any problem merging those categories. Intuitively it makes sense. – Broccoli & Coffee(Oh hai)01:09, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
