Panned?
[edit]Are there any citations for the claim that the first few episodes were "critically panned"?
Agreed and removed, SqueakBox 22:25, 24 January 2006 (UTC)
Where is it set?
[edit]Is this really suppose to set in Shropshire? I'm not sure where the locals are suppose to be from but it sure isn't shropshire! --Charlesknight 16:43, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
- If memory serves it was mentioned in the very first episode. 172.143.157.161 03:35, 17 September 2006 (UTC)
- There was another reference to Shropshire tonight by Llewywn. When in the pub he jokingly said "Is this the Shropshire branch of Mensa?". I'd say that that's enough evidence to suggest it it supposedly in Shropsire. Melmer 22:35, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Well, you have to take these things with a grain of salt in television. Only Fools And Horses was filmed entirely in Bristol!
It is widely known Only Fools and Horses is set inn Peckham although filmed elsewhere. Where is The Green Green Grass set? other than "the country" anyone know? Carlwev (talk) 04:31, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
It is set in Oakham, Shropshire. The Music Collector (talk) 20:04, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
- Is Oakham full of people who talk in exaggerated fake "ooh arr" accents; or are the London actors just so rubbish that they think that Shropshire's accent must be the same as Somerset and Norfolk as they are all in the countryside? Killy sunts. 82.152.192.63 (talk) 20:48, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
David Jason
[edit]There are numerous mentions of David Jason possibly returning which i think should be deleted. I'm sure that I read on Wikipedia or other fan sites that Jason signed a multi-million pound deal which means that he can only work for ITV. So surely he cannot come back to the BBC for an episode of this? Thenthornthing (talk) 16:49, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
His contract expires this year so it is possible.94.1.144.203 (talk) 14:26, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Images
[edit]I notice there are rather a lot of fairuse images on this page - too many in fact. Does it really need three examples of the titlescreen alone, for example? There are also two sets of images of the same characters - two of Boycie and family and two of the Driscoll brothers. In all cases, I think the duplicates should be deleted to comply with the non-free use criteria. Bob talk 10:27, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- As this has already been brought up in the peer review from 2009, I have removed these and integrated the captions. I think there may still be too many here, though - the farm image is probably unneccessary, for example. Bob talk 10:34, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
