George is a Turtle!

[edit]

Although his plodding gait suggests he may be a "tortoise", in the episode "George Goes Faster", he refers to how he had a skateboard as a young "turtle".--GrammarStickler (talk) 13:32, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mitzi is a WHAT???

[edit]

Looking at the article, it refers to Mitzi as a Possum. I have been watching the Koala Brothers for some time, and to the best of my knowledge and intellect, Mitzi looks like a Koala, walks and acts like a Koala. So why in the name of all that is holy is she listed as a possum??? Thor Malmjursson (talk)

The narrator mentions it in a few episodes. It is also referenced on official web pages such as this one. Removed this particular need for a citation. Although I agree the article in general would need sources.--Ianolito (talk) 03:28, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Casting List + Vehicles in the Show

[edit]

I noticed that someone had added a partial list of the people who did the voices for the show (or at least the English version), but it is still missing the voice actors for many of the other characters, mostly the female ones. The IMDB profile for this show ( [1] ) lists Lucinda Cowden and Janet James in addition to the ones already mentioned here, but does not specify which roles they exactly play. Could someone therefore point me to reliable external web sites with this information?

Also, I have been watching this show as of late, and I'm now almost positive that, other than the Koala's plane, the vehicles used in the show - Alice's scooter, Sammy's truck, and Lolly's ice-cream truck - are all at least based on real-world vehicles. Alice's scooter is almost certainly a vintage model of a Vespa, or something that looks very much like it. I'm unable to identify the other two vehicles though, but looking at the styling cues of Lolly's ice-cream truck, I believe it to be based on a mid-20th century van or truck. I'm not sure if all these is worth mentioning, but my opinion is that it might be. The Vespa article has a list of TV shows that features characters riding or using Vespas, and if indeed Alice's scooter is a Vespa, then we could mention it there. Of course, all of this will need citations, and this is where things will get difficult. --A.K.R. (talk) 15:28, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Basic Information: When The Series Was Made

[edit]

Could somebody add information about when the series was made, please? This is absolutely basic information for an encyclopaedia article. Thanks for this. --New Thought (talk) 09:13, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It may be of interest to include the fact that a similar animated television show proposal circulating in the 1990s of altruistic Australian Outback aviators was apparently shown to the series producers and was based on an Australian Kid's book "Echidna Airways, The Great Wungle Bungle Aerial Expedition" published in 1987. That proposal of purely altruistic characters and published book included major characters known specifically as "the Koala Brothers" and featured a comical Outback airstrip that was even built as part of a Bicentennial exhibition.[1] >[2] [3] [4] at 3:57 — Preceding unsigned comment added by GregOrca (talkcontribs) 01:39, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Australian?

[edit]

The first line of the article says that this is an Australian series. While the setting is Australia, as far as I can find out this is a UK series. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.210.12.229 (talk) 04:49, 29 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
