Did any of this happen?

[edit]

I would love to see a section on the historical accuracy of this film. The Yip Man page suggests that maybe the interaction with Leung Bik is accurate but I suspect the entire Tin Chi/Japan storyline is fictional. I would love to author that but, alas, I have no clue. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.231.214.20 (talk) 20:05, 10 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Most of these movies are openly dramatized. They're about the legend of Ip Man, as much or more than they are about his actual life. 50.243.223.35 (talk) 17:58, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Continuity with Ip Man, Ip Man 2, Ip Man 3?

[edit]

I realize that these are separate movies made by separate filmmakers, but I'm wondering how consistent they are with one another. That is, could I watch this film and then the trilogy and it feel like it was a prequel? 50.243.223.35 (talk) 17:58, 1 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
