Does this novel actually exist?
[edit]I've had no success so far in locating any book of this title by A. E. W. Mason. It is not mentioned by Mason's 1952 biographer Roger Lancelyn Green, and neither the British Library nor the Library of Congress holds any book of that name. The sole source relied on by the article is Alan Goble's The Complete Index to Literary Sources in Film which states on page 311 that "Man and His Kingdom, Novel" by AEW Mason was the source of the 1922 silent film Man and His Kingdom (film). I suspect that may simply be an error. Can anyone help? MichaelMaggs (talk) 17:19, 6 May 2021 (UTC)
- The article has the wrong author: the book is this one by E. Phillips Oppenheim. (Thanks Austronesier for finding it for me). MichaelMaggs (talk) 07:28, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
- @MichaelMaggs: Most welcome! I'm just wondering if there's not a single source out there (other than a contemporary tuppence fan journal) which has the right information? –Austronesier (talk) 09:30, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
