Deleted section: The "other" Patriot character

[edit]

I'm putting this here as another user insists on blanking it. Perhaps other Wikipedians can make their minds up if it should be on the page or not:

===The "other" Patriot character===
Tom "Salvatore Sincere" Brandi claims Wilkes sold the gimmick to him shortly after his retirement from the ring, which Brandi used on the independent circuit. In a 2008 interview, Wilkes claimed he had never actually sold the gimmick to Brandi, who he hadn't seen since 1994. Wilkes denies to this day he sold him the gimmick. Wilkes has stated that Brandi is simply using the gimmick and trademark without his permission. The Honky Tonk Man has also claimed he owns the rights to the Patriot gimmick.

What Honky Tonk Man claims to own is a trademark for the wrestling name patriot. But its not clear if he has any useful or enforceable rights based on owning that trademark. 12.12.144.130 (talk) 20:32, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
