[edit]

The Southern Review was started in 1935, with the first issue being published in July of that year. It continued publication until 1942, after 28 issues, and started again in 1965.

More critical reception is available and will be referenced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by There Is No Me (talkcontribs) 17:02, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

An earlier Southern Review?

[edit]

The Appletons' article on Stephen Elliott reports the naturalist Stephen Elliott and the writer William Elliot respectively editing and publishing in a journal called the Southern Review in the 19th century. Edit request of July 27

[edit]

I noticed a few errors/dead links on the Southern Review page but didn't want to edit myself as I'm a member of staff at its sister institution, LSU Press.

1. The 4th citation under "References" include dead links. Suggested replacement for citation #4 is the CELJ awards page, as the LSU press release page is no longer active.

2. The 2005 date for the CELJ Award is incorrect and should be 2006.

3. The 5th citation under "References" is a link that is no longer active. Suggested replacement is the updated Southern Review "About" page.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Fortunately, there was a copy of citation #4 in the Internet Archive, so simply changed the link to the archived version. The CELJ Award date has been corrected. As for citation #5, we want to verify the claim that Adams and Faust became co-editors, which isn't mentioned on the suggested replacement page. Therefore, I have flagged the original citation as a dead link. Altamel (talk) 22:06, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on The Southern Review. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
