Genres: Electronic music?

[edit]

I recognize that metalcore and electronic music share the the infobox right now, primarily because those genres appropriately describe the band's last album. But from the songs I've heard off of this album so far there hasn't been any characteristics of electronic music. Considering the band's line-up change and this album's lead single, I highly doubt there will be much of an electronic music element on this record. We'll see though. --♫ Chris-B-Koolio ♫ ... Awesome. As I expected the genre electronic was removed rather quickly. :) --ChrisBkoolio ... (Talk) 15:27, 12 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox genres

[edit]

The infobox should NOT contain a huge list of outlandish genres. Even if all the ridiculous genres listed there were well referenced and accurate (which they are not), the infobox is not a place for every possible referenced genre that describes this album. Only a few should be included there so that readers can get an idea of this album's style. I simplified the infobox to include only metalcore and electronic music (although I would rather not even include the later, since this album only has traces of electronic music influence and has been seen as a complete departure from the abundance of electronic elements present in their prior albums). --ChrisBkoolio ... Yeah, I was being a bit pushy before. If someone else wants to create a detailed style section, I don't mind, as I won't have time for a long while yet. I've listened to a good portion of the album, and I agree that the electronic aspects are not that strong, but they are mentioned in so many sources, I don't think we would be right to remove "electronic" from the infobox.--¿3family6 contribs 13:48, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's ok, we all get a little over-zealous sometimes, lol. :) I might get around to creating a musical styles section soon. And you are correct, electronic music is thoroughly referenced, so it will remain. --ChrisBkoolio ... (Talk) 20:04, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
