Inconsistent notation

The technical sections are inconsistent: $\mu$ in one section seems to be renamed $\beta$ in the next section.

Also I think that

\mathbf {z} _{j}\ \sim \ {\mathcal {N}}(\mathbf {\mu } _{j},\mathbf {\Sigma } _{j})

\mathbf {z} _{j}\ \sim \ {\mathcal {N}}(\mathbf {\mu } _{j},\sigma _{i}^{2}\mathbf {I} ).

is supposed to be

\mathbf {z} _{i}\ \sim \ {\mathcal {N}}({\boldsymbol {\mu }},\mathbf {\Sigma } _{i})

\mathbf {z} _{i}\ \sim \ {\mathcal {N}}({\boldsymbol {\mu }},\sigma _{i}^{2}\mathbf {I} ).

I was not previously familiar with Thurstonian models, so I'd prefer a double-check before I make the change. Eclecticos (talk) 23:47, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
