[edit]Use level three headers instead of level two for the months.Use the Preliminary Reports from the National Hurricane Center instead of Unisys. Back up the Unisys sources with HURDATReference the lead and make it two paragraphs, not threeThe timeline graphic should be the same as in other timeline articles, not a season formatDelink dates in lead- When listing things, numbers less than ten are spelled out

- Include some categories as well. -- RattleMan 22:08, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- There are some problems with Preliminary Reports
- 1 -- They don't have Subtropical Storm
- 2 -- They don't have best tracks for the storms list TCR's do.--Saola Talk to Me 22:12, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
Missing Systems
[edit]This timeline has just been selected for an appearence on the mainspace on October 24, however, im not convinced that its ready for one, since there are a number of depressions that will need to be included in this article now that they have been included in HURDAT. I will try and add details on these in as time allows over the next few days, but any help would be appreciated. Jason Rees (talk) 19:51, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
- I saw that the talk page had some activity since I posted the Main Page notice. Let me know when you're done if there are still going to be issues with running the article. We can schedule another timeline if necessary; just let me know within the next couple of weeks if you think this will be required. Any hints on which timeline to run in this article's place would be helpful as well. Giants2008 (Talk) 00:28, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- After I saw that this was scheduled to go on the main page, I wanted to spruce up the article before October 24. If you give me until the end of this week, I can add the depressions and update the small formatting changes we've made to the timeline format since this went to FLC in 2010. — Iune(talk) 01:37, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Iune: I am happy to give you as long as you wish to try and bring this timeline up to scratch and I will help you where I can but I am rather busy IRL atm. In particular all of the depressions need adding despite some of them possibly being remcved in the reanalysis effort, we also need to bring the timeline up to 2016 standards and reduce the reliance on HURDAT by tracking down the TCR's and advisories where possible. @Giants2008: There are some major issues with the timeline and im tempted to send it to FLRC as there is a lot for one editor to do so quickly, however, if Iune is willing to work on it some more then im happy and wont send it to FLRC. However, if worse comes to the worst then I am not sure which timeline to suggest putting up as I am not 100% happy with my own ones in the South Pacific though 1990-91 SPAC wouldn't take much work.Jason Rees (talk) 20:17, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'd be glad to work on it (this weekend). With regards to the storms themselves, I believe that we can incorporate some information from the TCRs and 1972 seasonal summary. However, the tropical depressions are not mentioned in the seasonal summary os I believe that we'd need to use HURDAT there. Getting an article on the main page has been a dream of mine since I started editing Wikipedia years ago; I'd be willing to put in the effort to get such an achievement. :P — Iune(talk) 00:22, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Iune: How is the work going? We've got a little over a week to go, and I need to know if this is going to be ready in time. Giants2008 (Talk) 15:03, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry about the delay, I had a busy week. :$ I should be done with adding the required systems by the end of the weekend. — Iune(talk) 21:06, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
