Title

[edit]

Should be something like "Tom Dennison (mob boss)" instead. Exploding Boy 17:19, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's a difference between a "mob boss" and a "political boss". Dennison fits into the latter. 69.58.224.75 (talk) 04:02, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And that's why I selected "political boss" as the subtitle - although, Dennison did have deep mob connections in KC that led directly to Capone's Chicago... • Freechild'sup? 10:46, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rosewater

[edit]

This article states that "Boss Dennison nursed a grudge against Mayor Smith that is ultimately attributed with leading to the Omaha Race Riot of 1919. That year Edward Rosewater, a close ally of Dennison, had his Omaha Bee newspaper luridly report on fictitious assaults on white women by black men." How is that possible when Rosewater died in his Omaha Bee office in 1906??? 69.58.224.75 (talk) 04:04, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I misstated the point, and have now corrected it. Thanks for drawing that to my attention. • Freechild'sup? 10:45, 20 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
