What about quadratics?

[edit]

This article is empty on quadratic expressions to which I fixed slightly. Slaythe Oct/13/2022 2:59 pm (UTC+08:00) — Preceding undated comment added 07:00, 13 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why is it defined as being a trinomial version of a polynomial i dont understand what it is yet i dont get it? but ive read it at least three times and i still dont know how its posible to have polynomial and monomial in the same def. but then they have diffrent def.>? anyway i will read it again to get back on track of what i was saying in the first place the definition for trinomial is unclear. and i still dont under stand but i think i getit now the def. says about a trinomial being a three sided polynomial and its the sum of three monomials.

i have seen a million defs. and this one has defined it the best but to some one who knows nothing about trinomials and polynomdummmmmmmials or even monomials

it becomes some what confusing my math teacher has tried to explain it and she couldnt understand what the def. was saying we had a hard time pictureing the problem and changing it into something a normal person who has little knowlage and is looking this up just for this deffinition would be able to know what a poly mmono and trinomial are just by reading the caption and to tell the truth the def. being spread out across the board also if anyone reads this witch as i noticed there are no discusions on this thread so maybe no one knows what a trinomial is because its basicl the same as a polynomial and monomial there is only one or two diff. the polly is one the mono is two and the trio is three could wwe plese try to clear this up on here so the averagae joe can under stand?????

Third definition...

I think it's incorrect, because plenty of other things can be factored using simple steps (simpler than trinomials, even) For instance,

x2 + 2x - 15

is a lot harder to factor than:

12

More Important Applications for Trinomials

[edit]

There are infinite tasks one must do with Trinomials in alegebra. Why arnt they listed here by someone who understands math? I know i dont understand any of the math 'logic.'

BTW: Is there a such thing as a QUADNOMIAL (4 term expression)?

Never Mind.

Well, this is one of three articles I am considering working on as my first article for wikipedia. I'll probably take it from stub status to at least a decent article with sources and the like. A math-wiki (talk) 10:04, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty sure it was trying to talk about perfect square trinomials

[edit]

In the currently last section of the article, there was an example in "Some notable trinomials" that was referred to a "special type of trinomial" that can be factored like a Quadratic expression.

That is when I realised that it was trying to talk about perfect square trinomials. Correct me if I am wrong. Slaythe (talk) 14:54, 26 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
