Did Radwan revolt, or was it Duqaq?

[edit]

I'm not sure about the assertion that Radwan was the brother who 'revolted'. Unless any evidence can be found to the contrary, I have evidence (Amin Maalouf, The Crusades Through Arab Eyes) that states that Duqaq fled Aleppo after Ridwan (there are a number of spelling variants!) tried to have him assassinated. Apparently he fled to Damascus where the garrison proclaimed him king. This implies that Duqaq revolted rather than Ridwan. Wart1 (talk) 11:24, 3 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
