In two books (The Theatre of Orson Welles and Orson Welles on Shakespeare), Richard France identifies a photo of Welles in makeup as being Malvolio in the Todd production of Twelfth Night. The photo appears in the books courtesy of Hortense and Roger Hill, and in both cases it is erroneously attributed as being from the 1932 production (the show was created in 1933). Todd Tarbox, grandson of Roger Hill, is in possession of the Todd archives and reproduces the photo on page 281 of his book, Orson Welles and Roger Hill: A Friendship in Three Acts (2013). The caption reads, "Welles as Mercutio in the Katharine Cornell company's Romeo and Juliet in 1933." Pending any confirmation of France's statement that the still is of Welles in Twelfth Night (and I've looked around a bit), I've removed references to Welles having an acting role in this production. — WFinch (talk) 17:30, 11 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
