Article coordination
[edit]This article was originally splintered from Tobacco (agriculture). Since these articles are invariably linked, it is important to coordinate summaries and updates. Some sections may better belong in Tobacco products and some sections may better belong in Types of tobacco. There are still a number of potential sections which have been listed in Tobacco (disambiguation), which need to be transcribed before we begin its deduction and cleanup. Dokha movement
[edit]I'm moving dokha to tobacco products because it is not a type of tobacco, but a product made with tobacco and various other substances.--Soporaeternus (talk) 22:08, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
You do that. Don't you people have anything better to do?
Civil War or Tobacco
[edit]Must there be so many references to US history and Civil war? This is about tobacco not US historical nostalgia
While exported across the world, tobacco has deep roots in early US history. Perique tobacco, for example, is grown exclusively in the Louisiana's St James parish. Maybe that sheds some light. — Preceding unsigned comment added by OrlikGS89 (talk • contribs) 16:25, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Thuoc lao removal
[edit]Removed Thuoc lao from this page. Seems out of place to talk about the subtleties of tobacco blends and cigar, cigarette, and pipe smoking, to then suddenly drop this note about getting high and vomiting over a nica rustica leaf that might technically be part of the n tobacum genus.
