Estimated at Cat:5
[edit][1] the CMISS has a page showing the estimates for Jangmi, one of the estimates shows winds of 145kts (165mph) and a pressure of 908mb. NOT official though. Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:02, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- JTWC 21Z: 135Kts Still.....Jason Rees (talk) 20:20, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm lost too as to why the JTWC is being conservative this year. Best case is with TC Hondo, the 1-min and 10-min winds were only 5kts apart, 125kts (1-min) 120kts (10-min). Doesn't make much sense considering T#'s were >7.0 same goes for Jangmi (T#'s I mean) Cyclonebiskit (talk) 20:58, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- BT 00z: 130kts - Damm i was looking forward to a cat 5 our first of the year Jason Rees (talk) 00:48, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- You wouldn't be looking forward to one if you were in its path. ludahai 魯大海 (talk) 04:57, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
- True, true...Good thing it weakened significantly, down to Cat:1 now Cyclonebiskit (talk) 17:25, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

Im not sure on the rules for Did You Know but it may be worth nominating the fact that JAngmi was a Cat 5 Jason Rees (talk) 14:59, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
- It's right on the cusp, so if you want to nominate it, now is the time. It was created 6 days ago but it was mostly expanded in the past 4 days, so I think it makes it
