Seeding coefficients

[edit]

I don't even see any source for the method by which the coefficients were determined, let alone a source for those coefficients themselves. Can someone please find one before we re-add this info? – PeeJay 20:31, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you do the math as I've done, the teams end up in each pot as listed. It was unlikely to be any other method since UEFA used the 'points per game' method for future tournaments. In addition, if you look at UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying as well as the 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification (UEFA) they use the same 'points per game' method and the numerical coefficients are listed beside each team. I also added the qualification coefficients to Euro 2000, Euro 2004, and the 2006 World Cup simply based on what was already written in the articles. Maybe so, but you still haven’t provided any actual evidence that the seedings were determined that way. – PeeJay 22:15, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I was simply going on what was already in the article. Thedefenceman (talk) 22:20, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I get that, I think what I'm suggesting is that we remove the unsourced content from the article, including the coefficient calculation. – PeeJay 10:05, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Based on your recent edits, it shows the teams split among six pools with no source, calculation method, or numerical coefficient value. If you decided to remove calculation method along with the numerical coefficient, then it would make sense remove the seeding pools as well because there would be no way to know how the teams were ranked and assigned to each pool. — Thedefenceman (talk) 17:05, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Qualification Summary

I wanted to bring the idea of potentially bringing back the wider summary table simply because it's easier to read over the current one and more consistent with other UEFA qualification summaries

Yep, fair enough. However, I don't think it needs to be quite so wide. I support making all the columns equal width, but it really doesn't need to take up the entire width of the page. – PeeJay 10:27, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

May you look difference? Metufit (talk) 17:01, 2 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
