Hi, I am interested in creating a new Wikipedia page for Taylor Thom, a former University of Texas softball player who now plays for Team USA and a new professional team out of the Dallas, TX area, Dallas Charge. As fastpitch softball is growing to be a very popular sport I believe that it is important that these professional athletes' information is available to those who are interested in it. I would greatly appreciate feedback on this.

Creating a Lauren Haeger page

[edit]

Hello Gator Fans and fellow Wikipedian!

After the World Series I decided to look up Lauren Haeger on Wikipendia and found that she didn't have one. Being so, I plan to create one and am seeking any help I can get. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lauren mara (talkcontribs) 22:02, 7 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Lauren, for your article what kind of things would you put on Haeger's page? Will you focus on strictly softball or would you branch out to to her personal information and life outside of softball? --Frivera14 (talk) 22:00, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Where's the "History"?

[edit]

Rather surprised at the lack of a "History" section given how long the ASA has been in existence.

What little history is mentioned in the opening paragraph/section does NOT do justice to the colorful history and players that played in the ASA. Especially from 1933 to the early 1960s.

I only know about the ASA through our local history on women's softball with two of our teams -- PBSW Ramblers and the (Denton Tire) Queens -- dominating the ASA's championships during the 1940s and 1950s.

So how about it? Can we get some "History" here? 2600:8800:50B:6700:C23F:D5FF:FEC5:89B6 (talk) 00:00, 26 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Name Change and redirect needed

[edit]

The organization has officially changed its name to "USA Softball" see link: http://www.spysoftball.com/7-1-2016-usa-softball-name-change

I am having an issues changing the name of the Article to USA Softball. Additionally after renaming we should setup "Amateur Softball Association" to forward to the USA Softball page as it was the organizations name for so many years.
