General Zebulon Pike
[edit]Zebulon Pike was killed at the Battle of Sacketts Harbor. Was the ship already named for him before he was killed? He was already world famous, but he was still alive. Is this the only battle in which a soldier was killed in action during an engagement involving a ship already named after him?
Also, I haven't found any record that he was a general before 1813.M dorothy 04:18, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
