Name

[edit]

Basic name sourcing from earlybritishkingdoms.com, some other general phrasing and cleanup. Should be more. Ant-o-the-nee (talk) 18:38, 15 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

History

[edit]

There are actually three books on the Reinert murder as given in link. Wambaugh is the most famous author, and is involved in the case for giving $50,000 to the lead investigator. However, I do not think one book in particular should be plugged here. --Danras 10:35, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, PennsylvaniaUpper Merion, Pennsylvania – New name conforms to WP:USCITY formula of "CITY, STATE". Apparently, there is only one "Upper Merion Township" in Pennsylvania, so the county name is unnecessary. Illegitimate Barrister (talk) 05:49, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. Wikipedia's ~1.5k articles on PA townships are titled using the form Township, County, State, regardless of whether the township name is unique within the state, so to change the manner of titling for just one or two would produce an odd inconsistency within the class. WP:USPLACE notes the use of this form for townships; it also calls for changes (if any) to be made on a statewide basis. ╠╣uw [talk] 10:08, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Huw's comments. Omnedon (talk) 14:10, 14 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. USPLACE says that we shouldn't move individual pages away from statewide naming conventions, so we need to keep the county name. Even worse would be removing "Township", because it would make this article appear to be about a city/borough/unincorporated community instead of a township. There is no statewide convention to have county in the title. Furthermore, neighborhoods in PA have their own neighborhood,PA article name, UMT,PA should be the correct name based on WP:USCITY. Sir Joseph (talk) 00:56, 29 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
