Kuta

[edit]

Kuta never had the name "Kut". There was a mistake in one of soviet Encyclopedies. The name of this river was Kuta from 17th century on Russian maps. (It's evenki word "kuta".) Ust'-Kut has no "a" in his name's end, becose his name was "Ust'-Kutskiy" and "Ust-Kutskoye" till XIX. Then, the last letters were be "cuted". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.66.22.81 (talk) 23:35, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
