Article tone
[edit]Currently reads like a tourist brochure for the resort. The lack of independent third party references is troubling given that it is more than a stub and contains plenty of descriptive opinion. Could do with a rewrite into a more measured tone that doesn't give the impression it's been written by someone who simply loves to ski there! Surely the place exists in the summer too and there are factors about the town that aren't only to do with skiing... -- SiobhanHansa 12:58, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
World's highest Zip Line!
[edit]I was reading up on Zip Lines, and they mention, quite proudly, that the Highest Zip Line in the World is in Val Thorens! Catch it here in Zip Line under the sub-section: "Records" and "Highest elevation zipline".
Most everything on this page is skiing related, or deals with the methods of transport up and down the mountainside. This is neither skiing, nor transport, so I did not see a good place to insert it.
Still it is tourist related, and if you can find a place to mention it, I think it would add to the article of things to do in Val Thorens. Also, it is apparently (for now at least), a world record!
