I would recommend the deletion of the entire section on the cult of the pilot. It's long, rambling, and veers very far from Chkalov himself. It also seems to draw heavily from only a couple of sources and feels like it may involve original research. The material might be better served in a separate article on pilots in Soviet culture. When I searched "Soviet cult of the pilot," this article was the first thing to come up suggesting this isn't a particularly significant topic. Wanted to check in here before deleting a large section in case anyone disagrees.
