The result of the move request was: move. @Iffy: pinging you since Eurovision National Selection is now a redirect, but you noted that you would want to convert it into an article. (closed by non-admin page mover) DannyS712 (talk) 20:16, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Eurovision National Selection → Vidbir – Per WP:COMMONNAME. "Eurovision National Selection" is also a terribly generic article title that is not specific to Ukraine at all. If Vidbir is not an appropriate title, the Ukrainian language "Yevrobachennia. Natsionalnyi Vidbir" could also suffice. { [ ( jjj 1238 ) ] } 02:57, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support per nom, and turn Eurovision National Selection into a broad concept article about all of the pages in Category:Eurovision_Song_Contest_selection_events Iffy★Chat -- 07:36, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Vidbir → Eurovision National Selection (Ukraine) – Can't verify from the source that Vidbir is a common shorthand for the name. Also, as a Russian native I can confidently say that this just sounds weird. Well, basically as weird if a song contest would be known as just Selection in English. This isn't an only Selection (I mean, there are a lot of things you can select) and not so much more prominent that it would be known by that single word. Yarovitsin (talk) 15:45, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Mostly support Vidbir and Eurovision National Selection appear to be equally common to me, so per WP:USEENGLISH we should use the latter. Note however, we should actually move to Eurovision National Selection as the (Ukraine) is unnecessary. Snowmanonahoe (talk · contribs · typos) 18:13, 19 May 2023 (UTC)
- Appear to be equally common to me per what?
I really think Eurovision National Selection is too generic, maybe Ukrainian Eurovision National Selection or Eurovision National Selection for Ukraine can be used. Or, as suggested in previous discussion, a stub for Eurovision National Selection can be created, or redirects like Eurovision National Selection (Albania) can can be created if the respectful country's contest can be called that Yarovitsin (talk) 19:25, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

- Oppose - I've seen Vidbir used in Eurovision sites such as Eurovoix, Wiwibloggs and Eurovision.tv itself. "Eurovision National Selection" is much more uncommon. Wasabi OS (talk) 21:45, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose. WP:COMMONNAME. "Eurovision National Selection" is not a name used in English to refer to the Ukrainian selection anywhere-- a quick Google or Google News search for the term brings up selections from multiple different countries. "Vidbir" brings up many news outlets (both fan and mainstream) referring to this specific selection, including the BBC, Billboard (which also features a quote from the Ukrainian head of delegation referring to the selection as "Vidbir"), ITV (includes quote from Pianoboy referring to it as "Vidbir"), the Independent, Kyiv Post, and WaPo. Also, Suspilne's own uploads of the selection use the word Vidbir in the title. Blue Edits (talk) 08:36, 24 May 2023 (UTC)
