Where it says 'this is the only time a Super Robot appears alongside Real Robots' ... I know what that means, but what does it mean in this context?

It refers to Laserion fighting alongside Earth Government's robots against the Moon enemies. —Laserion 23:47, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Are you sure about this? What about the Super Robot Taisen 3 eps OVA and the 25 eps TV series? Those have super robots (e.g. Gungrust Type-0) fight alongside real robots (e.g. R-Gun). - QuadESL63

"Despite the excellent timing of releasing the Laserion toy at the height of super robot popularity in the 80s, even under the premier Godaikin label, the toy was not a top seller in Japan or Hong Kong. The toy did not transform nor do anything more besides having the detachable airplane as a head piece. The fun factor was considered limited, and the show carried the popularity of the toy."

This seems to have a few fallacies in it. IIRC, Super Robots were actually undergoing a bit of a dip at around the time Laserion came out. Also, the figure originally came out in the East as part of Chogokin, not Godaikin which was an American line (Laserion did come out as part of Godaikin as well, but only a little later). Also, while it was a little unconventional, the toy did more than mentioned, seperating into two robots as well - see http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=NgJnTYSLxps for the original commercial. It would seem someone researched the stuff about the toy entirely from the CollectionDX review, which covers the American import of the smaller, non-separating Laserion ST figure.

As no-one would seem to have any objections, I've re-edited this section accordingly.
