Overall this is a very good article, though I do have some issues:

  • "Violante Beatrice of Bavaria (23 January 1673 – 30 May 1731) was Grand Princess of Tuscany (i.e. Hereditary Princess) as the wife of Grand Prince Ferdinando de' Medici and Governor of Siena from 1717." from 1717 until her death? or to when? sentence just stops abruptly.

  • "Here, she feted poets Lucchesi, Ghivanizzi and Morandi." Either full names or wikilinks should be added.
Problem. Acton, whose work The Last Medici is cited for that sentence, does not give their full names. I have checked Italian wikipedia, too, and they don't have entries--or even a single metion, for that matter! -- Jack1755 (talk) 23:04, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Violante Beatrice dominated the royal court as Gian Gastone resigned his public duties to her, removing to his bed" Same confusion as in the other GA review.

I'll put the article on hold and pass when the issues are fixed. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 19:28, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Revision 339972511 by User:Opus33

[edit]

Hi guys. I reverted Opus33's edit because: 1) Cosimo III's view of Violante should not be in parenthesis, it implies that it's dispensable; 2) the citation given uses the 1958 edition of The Last Medidi, which is dramatically different to the 1980 edition used in this article; 3) the dashes should be em. Thanks for reading. -- Jack1755 (talk) 19:32, 25 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
