Hopson as a stage name?
[edit]It appears possible that she took her stage name from her mother's second marriage. NSW BDM shows a Laura Karkeek marrying a Nicholas Hopson in Petersham, NSW, in 1898. But I can't find anything that reliably verifies this as being her mother and step father.Nickm57 (talk) 12:40, 4 April 2017 (UTC)
Needs a reliable source
[edit]I moved the following text here in the hope the IP user can find a supporting reliable source. Nickm57 (talk) 04:54, 22 June 2017 (UTC)
On 31 March 1932 Mr Harry Jacobs had plans drawn up for significant alterations to the shopfront of 124 Baker Street, London, W.1. The intricate shopfront has emblazoned on it in "Brilliant Letters" VIOLET HOPSON. On the door was "Violet Hopson Modes."
