Name spelling

[edit]

Not sure which is the correct spelling of this person's name given the sources title him with either the y or double i at the end. Pinging @Mattythewhite and Andriyrussu:, both of whom have moved the article from one version to another. Ukrainian name spellings I think can be quite complicated depending on what country you're in. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:44, 11 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Vitaliy MykolenkoVitalii Mykolenko – Different sources gave his first name with two different varieties, one being with the letter y at the end, the other i. Let's find out which is the preferred option, to stay put or move to my proposed title. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 18:22, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please share the sources with us so that we can develop an informed opinion, Iggy? This shouldn't be about personal preferences, obviously. Robby.is.on (talk) 18:37, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I can @Robby.is.on: - liverpoolecho.co.uk, his Instagram and ESPN are three examples. Apparently the Everton profile link has his name spelt both ways. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 20:14, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
