Anti-femine

[edit]

This article may be overly sourced from sources with 1960's origin. It's wording and topic choices seem rather hostile towards women in space fleet. I am going to look at improving this article more. Anyone else have any thoughts? fcsuper (How's That?, That's How!) (Exclusionistic Immediatist ) 00:11, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

Please add some detail to the error that occured in control program. This section makes no sense in English.

Cite 2 - Civilian in Space

[edit]

At the time of her space travel Tereshkova was lieutenant or junior lieutenant of the Soviet Air Force. When the 5 women entered the training program, it is true, that they were civilians and had no military track (opposite to most or all of the male candidates), but as soon as they entered the training, they became junior lieutenants. http://www.astronautix.com/astros/terhkova.htm "First Civilian in Space" is part of the (Post-)Soviet folklore. To be part of the military was important to them, also in regards of their pensions and other privileges. It would be great if somebody else could verify and then change the article. Kamanins diaries might be a good place for verification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 178.24.214.105 (talk) 17:47, 14 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Monument

[edit]

The Google Maps link to the monument shows a clear picture. I like the monument, but it doesn't look very Soviet. Is there any info on when it was installed, or who sculpted it? BPMullins | Talk 00:24, 17 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contradictory orbital parameter statements

[edit]

The apo- and perigee values in the infobox don't match the values in the "mission parameters" section. Which values are true, the ones in the infobox or those in the section? Or does it depend on each orbit? 2001:4BC9:A45:2B8E:84:F38C:F228:2B48 (talk) 13:03, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
