WP:BLP requires us to be extremely careful about sensitive allegations such as these. This is not the place to publicize lurid details about things he's alleged to have done — if he wasn't convicted of anything, then Wikipedia gives zero shits about any of this. Not only do we have no responsibility to publish this stuff, we have an explicit responsibility not to publish it absent much more compelling evidence than "here's a source for the allegation". The article already acknowledges both the impaired driving charge and the domestic abuse allegations, but it's not our role to provide more exhaustive detail about them. We're an encyclopedia, not the town stocks — we do not exist as a forum for publicizing comprehensive details of everything a person is merely alleged to have done in the past. There needs to be a uniform standard for sitting politicians. The current Premier's page displays professional misconduct charges prominently, front and centre. Same user that has edited that page, has actively suppressed and buried Kinew's charges. This is a place for information, not partisan politicking. The past issues in Kinew's background are given exactly as much weight here as the past issues in Stefanson's background are given in her article, which means you don't really have a valid point to make. You're attempting to overemphasize it here on the grounds that you think what Kinew did is worse than what Stefanson did, which it isn't. Please read WP:UNDUE. It's disingenuous to argue balance between prominent "Background" placement and buried partial statements at the bottom of an article. Intent is not to quantify between the two, but rather address a systemic effort by a single user to steer both pages. Ruralmanitoban (talk) 23:02, 30 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There should be a section just for his extensive criminal record as there are so many of those. It’s ingenious not to have it here while other politicians and public figures have it. 174.92.87.128 (talk) 17:17, 4 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't describe a conditional discharge and a DUI, both of which were pardoned, as an "extensive criminal record." Other politicians' articles don't have this type of detail unless it receives extensive ongoing coverage.
