First place finish in 1994
[edit]All of the team articles for the teams that finished first in their divisions in 1994 do not include that year in their counts of championships. It would be both more accurate and consistent with the team articles for the first place finish to be noted with no designation of a division championship. - If you feel that, it's perfectly understandable; however, I put this list as it is for consistency's sake. If you can convince the people who maintain the others to change those, have at it! EaglesFanInTampa 03:57, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The existing articles are not consistent: the articles on the Cincinnati Reds, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Texas Rangers seasons do not list 1994 as a championship year. I have removed the designation from the articles on the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox seasons. Isaac Lin (talk) 06:35, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Dodgers don't have a separate page, and the Red don't mark any of their years, but I do see what you mean about the Rangers and Sox. The main problem is a lot of teams' pages don't use the same template, and since this template is used on FL pages, like the Phillies' and the Rays', I personally believe it should be used on all of them, but that's another argument for another day. I'll change it up, but word the footnote accordingly. Thanks for your help! EaglesFanInTampa 14:44, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
- The Los Angeles Dodgers have a listing of season results on Los Angeles Dodgers Season-by-Season Records. The Reds page notes championships in the final column, much like the pages for the Dodgers and the Rangers. Thanks for updating this page. Isaac Lin (talk) 16:43, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
