Public consultation on draft bills?
[edit]Er..does anyone know if public opinion is sought on draft public-bills being introduced, or currently in Parliament? I am aware of no such thing.
Furthermore, if there was such a mechanism, I would assume the Jan Lokpal agitation would've used it. But the entire novelty of the protests was the demand for an introduction of a bill written by the public in parliament. The subsequent controversy revolved around the privilege issue - with the government claiming that only the elected members of the legislative branch of the government, can legislate.
That's a circumstantial argument, but if anyone has a link to an OFFICIAL source (and not a website that copies wikipedia/ vice versa - ref no. 8 - verbatim), please include it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.224.246.74 (talk) 16:06, 29 July 2012 (UTC)
Rename the page as 'The Whistle blowers protection act 2011'
[edit]The page broadly covers the act. Therefore the title of the page should be renamed as the Whistle blowers Protection act 2011 and new contents should be added such as the sailent features of the act. the existing contents should be moved under the category as developement of the act — Preceding unsigned comment added by Catabre (talk • contribs) 20:00, 17 May 2014 (UTC)
-Rename the page, "Whistleblower Protection Act of India." Then go add "of the United States" to the Whistleblower Protection Act that applies to that country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:4C1:C001:FEE0:B9B3:3F3D:8B69:CDC4 (talk) 22:31, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
