Expanding the article
[edit]I expanded the article slightly to make it an actual stub at least, but this is a case where paper sources are needed for a treatment that would do the article justice, as online reliable sources are not that plentiful and I would rather let someone work from proper sources that put an article together piecemeal. That said, Chippendale was notable in his own right in his time and worked with Henry Irving and Edmund Kean.
Possibly a bit of trivia, but apparently he presented Irving with a sword once used by Kean in HamletRichard III, with the sword later going on to be used by Sir Larry Olivier in later productions. (Mentioned a couple of places including an Irving biography [1] and in a more user-friendly environment here)FlowerpotmaN·(t) 15:27, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
