I can find no convincing independent reference to Karel Grod on the internet, and am suspicious that no such person existed. With one slight exception, all references on the net appear to be verbatim or near-verbatim copies from this Wikipedia article itself. The exception is this http://shop.oreilly.com/product/9780596802486.do you
which is a computer/technical manual by Michael Margolis, published in 2011, called 'Arduino Cookbook' which in its Colophon sketches a very brief history of mechanical toy-making including a mention of 'Karel Grod'. However, Margolis's focus being technical rather than historical causes me to wonder if he hasn't also gleaned this snippet of information (in 2011) from this Wikipedia article (written in 2008). I'd be grateful if someone had more information on this matter. (Stapletongrey (talk) 02:06, 17 December 2012 (UTC))

[edit]Is it "wind-up", "windup" or "wind up"? Jbaylor (talk) 20:27, 29 March 2013 (UTC)
