Notability
[edit]This song was a Eurovision entry which failed to qualify. Although it had chart success in it's home country Austria, this article is never likely to be more than a stub, and therefore fails to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Mention of this song should be confined to the band's exisiting page, which is also of dubious notability.Gymnophoria (talk) 14:37, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
- Wikipedia's notability guidelines state: "Songs that have been ranked on national or significant music charts, that have won significant awards or honors or that have been independently released as a recording by several notable artists, bands or groups are probably notable." It continues on that articles that will never be more than stubs can be merged into the band's main article, but if that's the case, merged articles aren't speedily deleted (both because merged articles become redirects, and because an article that has a sourced assertion of notability can't be speedied). If you think a merge is the best option, you can bring the articles to WP:AFD, but not CAT:CSD. -- Mike (Kicking222) 15:29, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
