8th–11th centuries
  • "... with the Shambles forming a wall street on the east." What's a wall street?
  • I've come across the phrase a few times in histories, but I'm still uncertain if its a correct modern term - in the medieval period, it seems to have referred to a street formed in the gap between buildings and a wall. I've clarified it a bit in the text. Hchc2009 (talk) 20:16, 22 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • "During the 10th century, the documents on the burh suggest that the aristocratic thegns living around Worcester also owned and maintained within the walls". Seems to be something missing there.
17th–19th centuries
  • "... before rapidly being taken by Parliament and then changing hands again following in 1643 following the battle of Edgehill".
  • "To form these new defences, the buildings outside the old city walls were cleared and six large bastions were attached to it along the north and east sides of the city". To what is the "it" after "attached to" referring? The subject appears to be the plural "old city walls.
Today
  • "... and advising that urgent repairs being undertaken to some sections". I can't make sense of that.
Bibliography
  • Bradbury isn't listed, even though s(he) is cited several times.
