Merge

[edit]

There is no mystery behind this animal. It's simply a specimen of Canis anthus. It should be merged with it. Mariomassone (talk) 18:44, 7 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I entirely agree Mario. Back in 2002 when this "specimen" was first sighted, nobody really knew about the 2015 Koepfli anthus-aureus split (although it had been suggested for years). I found this article by accident and only became involved to remove some of the sensational uncited material and to reduce it to what the reference said. With that done, I then realized that it was anthus, however this is not an article that I have a strategic interest in. As nobody has shown any objections to your merge proposal then it should be progressed. It should probably be reflected on the African golden wolf article only to say that anthus distribution includes the very dry Danakil Depression desert on the coast of Eritrea. Did you want to progress it or shall I? William Harris • (talk) • 10:04, 11 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Go ahead mate! Mariomassone (talk) 22:47, 12 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Redirect to African golden wolf now in place. William Harris • (talk) • 01:34, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
