Notability
[edit]@Rschen7754: not seeing significant coverage and without that it isn't notable. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 07:25, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Horse Eye's Back: It took all of 5 minutes to find two articles in the Casper Star-Tribune specifically about this highway. Mass tagging without bothering to check is uncivil behavior. SounderBruce 20:14, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- You need articles in multiple WP:RS, just the Casper Star-Tribune doesn't cut it (I had found those stories). Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:20, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- @SounderBruce: are you familiar with WP:AGF? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:26, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Said page says "Be careful about citing this principle too aggressively", which is good advice. It's clear there's an axe being ground to an atomic level here with regards to highway content, at the expense of numerous other policies on sourcing, decorum, and notability. SounderBruce 20:28, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Please advise which policies on sourcing, decorum, and notability those would be. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:30, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks to a certain tagging spree, I think I would be better off using my limited time to rescue articles rather than argue a point over and over. Productive editing is the best kind of editing. SounderBruce 20:31, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- You haven't even argued it once. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:34, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Horse Eye's Back If you were any more full of shit, the EPA would send investigators. Stop being so obstinate and contribute to the encyclopedia for once instead of making the lives of editors difficult. –Fredddie™ 20:42, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- WP:NPA Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:47, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- So it's OK to be a jackass, but not OK call somebody out for being a jackass? Got it. Sowwy pweese forgive me. –Fredddie™ 20:52, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don't get it, I edit the exact same across all topic areas. Only when I edit roads articles do I get called a jackass. And yes... that is literally what WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL are all about. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 20:58, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Probably because we're an active WikiProject that have nothing to lose by pushing back. –Fredddie™ 21:12, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Plenty of active wikiprojects and none of them have anything to lose by pushing back. I've edited in almost all of the major "controversial" topic areas and in many of the most active ones as well. Why does roads behave differently? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 21:14, 24 June 2023 (UTC)

- If you don’t want to be called a jackass, either stop doing things that will make other people want to call you a jackass, or move on- it’s never a good look when you respond to criticism with ‘Mommy, they called me a bad word!’ BMACS1002 (talk) 21:01, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- That is simply not how wikipedia works, civility is not just expected it is required. I notice you haven't edited since the 16th, can I ask how you became aware of this hot topic conversation? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 21:03, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- No BMACS1002 (talk) 21:20, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Are you aware of our guidelines about WP:CANVASS? Horse Eye's Back (talk) 21:24, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- WP:AGF. SounderBruce 21:27, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- I asked a question, I've made no assumption of bad faith here. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 21:28, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- FWIW, it's replies like this that make the roads community think you're a jackass. "My behavior is unimpeachable, I don't know why you won't do what I want." –Fredddie™ 21:50, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- In other communities instead of calling me a jackass they would try to find the sources to satisfy our notability requirements and if they couldn't then they would delete it on their own. Most of y'all are just standing around yelling at me instead of trying to find enough coverage to get Wyoming Highway 76 over the bar. I give SounderBruce high marks for trying, I just wish they understood how WP:GNG works and tilted at windmills less. Note that roads editors have attempted to get the community to impeach my behavior a few times, the result has consistently been community endorsement of that behavior. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 21:55, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Please advise which community endorsements of that behavior those would be. –Fredddie™ 22:05, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
- Does that have anything to do with improving Wyoming Highway 76? Remember all you have to do to make me go away is demonstrate notability and then *poof* I disappear because I have no axe to grind I just want to improve wikipedia. Horse Eye's Back (talk) 23:08, 24 June 2023 (UTC)
