Blindness

[edit]

The second sentence states unequivocally that Yami was blinded by the "Black Mist". There is no reference for this.

Yami was examined by an opthalmologist between 1965 and 1985. He concluded that his symptoms were "recognised complications of trachoma, and in this instance they were possibly accentuated by measles". Report of the Royal Commission into the British Nuclear Tests in Australia Volume 1 P 190.

While it is possible that radiation may have also accentuated the symptoms, I don't think it is correct to say definitely that the blindness was caused by the Black Mist.
