Original research and namechecking

[edit]

@McKhan: I reverted your edit for two reasons. First because you added OR. The citation does not verify she married Rashid Nabi. Second, Malik Ghulam Nabi does not have a Wikipedia entry so avoid namechecking people who're not notable at least by WP standards. --Saqib (talk) 08:24, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Saqib: I usually don't comment on other people's edits.
Having said that I agree with the second part that Ghulam Nabi, Yasmin Rashid's Father-in-law, doesn't have a Wikipedia entry and so does lots of people.
However, I am afraid I am confused that how both of the Editorials written by Sohail Warraich, a senior "Pakistani journalist, television host, analyst and media personality" for The Daily Jang ("Pakistan's national Urdu daily newspaper and the oldest newspaper of Pakistan in continuous publication since its foundation in 1939.") and (The News International, "the largest English language newspaper in Pakistan") are "OR".
Really?
Should that be the case then how is it kosher for you to use The News International but not for others?
Has it got something to do with your personal aversion to Urdu (last time I checked, most of the Pakistanis - still - do speak Urdu as Urdu is the national language of Pakistan), Daily Jang, Kakazai or Sohail Warraich?
And last but not the least, here is another The News International source stating that Yasmin Rashid is, in fact, married to Rashid Nabi, son of Ghulam Nabi along with some more information about her family background. McKhan (talk) 09:11, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Guess you need to read my comments again. The two citations you added does not says she married Rashid Nabi. --Saqib (talk) 09:19, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Saqib: Given your "primarily focus is on biographies pertaining to Pakistani MPs" (as per your own profile), you could have searched it, confirmed it and added it to the article just like you added this one. Right? But instead you reverted the complete edit(s) of mine, thereby, taking the ownership of the article as it is your own blog. Not a very good-faith editing. McKhan (talk) 09:31, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You added OR to a BLP and so my revert was justified. So if you think I was exhibiting ownership of the article, feel free to report it. Chapter closed! --Saqib (talk) 09:34, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
How does The News International become "OR" when I use and when you use, it doesn't? McKhan (talk) 14:29, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@McKhan: It appears you've problem understanding my comments. --Saqib (talk) 14:55, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Saqib: Really? How and why is your edit "better" than mine? Has someone created a Wikipedia page for Ghulam Nabi? Ain't you doing the very same thing (i.e. "namechecking") which I did except I used [[]] (for Ghulam Nabi) and you didn't? And once again: How does The News International become "OR" when I use and when you use, it doesn't? Please, feel free to elaborate. McKhan (talk) 15:07, 29 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
